When Venom first hit theaters in 2018, it didn’t exactly receive the glowing reviews of a superhero movie like The Dark Knight. Actually, it was widely panned by critics — but that didn’t stop audiences from flocking to theaters, making the anti-hero action film a box office success despite its iffy reviews.
Venom follows its titular anti-hero/journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), who gains superpowers while investigating Life Foundation founder Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed). Eddie merges with the alien Venom when he’s looking through Drake’s lab one day, giving him dark and strange powers. The film also stars Michelle Williams, Scott Haze and Reid Scott.

After the Marvel film landed on VOD in 2018, Decider’s Alex Zalben admitted, “It’s the sort of movie that is so often bad, it circles around to being enjoyable. Good? No. Comprehensible? Definitely not.” Audiences may not have come to theaters expecting a bad movie, but that hasn’t stopped viewers from seeking it out on Netflix now.

IS VENOM ON NETFLIX?
If you live in the US, the answer is sadly, no. While Venom dropped on Netflix UK Aug. 26, it hasn’t made its way to the states just yet.
WHEN WILL VENOM BE ON NETFLIX?
Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact date for when the Tom Hardy action film will make its Netflix debut in the US. But keep checking back, because we’ll update you when it does join the Netflix library.
IS VENOM ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO?
Yes, but there’s a catch. You can watch Venom on Amazon Prime Video, but it’s not currently part of the library for Amazon Prime Subscribers. Instead, you’ll have to buy Venom (starting at $12.99), because the title is mysteriously not available for rental on Amazon.

So Venom isn’t on Netflix, and it’s not currently available on any other channels or subcription services, either.
If you’re looking to watch Venom on VOD, you’ve got options, too. Right now, Venom is available to purchase on iTunes, Vudu and YouTube and Google Play, but prices vary. Sadly, the title is not currently available to rent on any of these services, either.
