Chadwick Boseman, star of Marvel’s Black Panther, 42, and Da 5 Bloods has died at age 43 after a private battle with colon cancer. The devastating news was confirmed by his official Twitter account on Friday. Celebrities, fans and politicians took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor who was known for portraying prominent historical black Americans on screen. Now, ABC has announced that it will air Black Panther commercial free tonight, followed by an ABC News special celebrating the life of Boseman.

WHEN TIME WILL BLACK PANTHER AIR ON ABC?

The movie is set to air tonight, August 30, 2020, without interruption on ABC from 8 PM-10:20 PM. The rest of the 10 PM hour of primetime will be filled by “Chadwick Boseman — A Tribute for a King,” produced by ABC News.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Marvel’s Black Panther cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Andy Serkis.
