The Real Housewives of Orange County is shaking things up. This week, Bravo announced that Missouri native Elizabeth Vargas will be joining RHOC Season 15 when it debuts next month. Elizabeth made her first official appearance in the new RHOC trailer, and with her DGAF attitude and no-filter speeches, she appears to fit right in with the other ladies.

ELIZABETH VARGAS RHOC: MEET THE NEW BRAVO STAR

According to her official Bravo bio, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas is a Missouri-born CEO who recently made her way to Orange County. She met RHOC star Kelly Dodd a few years ago on the Newport party circuit, and they quickly hit it off, and before long, Kelly convinced her to join the show. “Currently a CEO of an online music company, Elizabeth is ambitious, outspoken and ready to have fun,” her bio states. “As she deals with her ongoing divorce, her lifestyle as well as her complex and sexless relationship with boyfriend Jimmy creates a lot of speculation from the women and they start to scrutinize who she is really is.”

WHO IS BERNT BODAL, ELIZABETH VARGAS’ EX-HUSBAND?

Elizabeth’s Bravo bio also reveals that she moved to the beaches of Orange County with her husband Bernt Bodal. The Norwegian businessman is the former CEO of America Seafoods and a partner in Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, and he has some reality TV bonafides of his own: he appeared on a 2012 episode of Undercover Boss during his time at the seafood company.

Elizabeth and Bernt are in the process of separating, but she’s clearly already moved on. Enter Jimmy, her new, sex-free partner. Not that she’s mad about it!

RHOC PREVIEW: COVID-19, 2020 RESOLUTIONS, AND ONE VERY DRAMATIC POOL PARTY

Unlike other Housewives seasons that have aired this year, RHOC Season 15 is the first that was directly impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The new season began filming in February, and as the preview makes clear, production was quickly shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. As the season’s synopsis makes clear, “The impact of coronavirus definitely takes its toll on the women and their relationships at home and with each other as they each try to adjust to their new reality.”

According to Bravo, much of this season was filmed by the ladies themselves during quarantine, so viewers will be treated to a much more intimate look at their lives. But of course, this is RHOC, so there will still be plenty of drama — just of the at-home variety.
