Over the last couple of months, ESPN has delivered a slew of fascinating documentaries. From the cultural phenomenon known as The Last Dance to the Bruce Lee 30 for 30 Be Water, the popular sports channel has provided countless hours of quarantine content. In a bit of a good news/bad news situation, ESPN has another intriguing 30 for 30 premiering this weekend… but it’s only available to stream on ESPN+.
Premiering Sunday, September 27, The Life and Trials of Oscar Pistorius is a four-part docuseries that follows the incredible story of the famous South African Paralympic sprinter who went from international hero to the center of a murder investigation.
“The story of Oscar Pistorius is remarkable in its complexity,” director Daniel Gordon said in a statement. “It’s at once inspirational and harrowing, and provides a lens of insight into a breadth of issues — from gender based violence to disability rights, racial inequality, and media frenzy. My hope is that the film gives audiences additional context and layers to a story they think they know.”

The Life and Trials of Oscar Pistorius premieres September 27 on ESPN+.
WHAT TIME WILL ESPN’S OSCAR PISTORIUS 30 FOR 30 BE ON ESPN+?
ESPN confirmed to Decider that the four-part series will be available on ESPN+ at 6:00 a.m. ET. “Viewers will have the choice to watch the four serialized parts of the film live, over four nights, or binge the entire film,” ESPN noted in a press release. “Part One of the film will stream live on ESPN+ on September 27th, with each subsequent part streaming live the next three nights, respectively.”
The entire film will be available on demand beginning Sunday, September 27.

Not in the near future. The Life and Trials of Oscar Pistorius is, for now, exclusive to ESPN+. I imagine the four-part documentary will eventually air on ESPN, but that probably wouldn’t be for a couple of months at the earliest.

Not anytime soon. Unfortunately, The Life and Trials of Oscar Pistorius isn’t currently scheduled to premiere on Netflix or Hulu in the United States.
