‘After’ Sequels Cast Stephen Moyer, Mira Sorvino, and More

The After films are welcoming some fresh faces. Four new names have been added to the next two After sequels, After We Fell and After Ever Happy, which are both currently filming in Bulgaria. While the production team behind the movies announced the departure of four actors earlier in the week, we now know who will be taking their places in the upcoming films. Deadline reports that Mira Sorvino, Chance Perdomo, Stephen Moyer and Carter Jenkins will be joining the cast as new additions.

The announcement comes after it was revealed that Shane Paul McGhie, Selma Blair, Candice King and Charlie Weber would not be filming the next After movies. Perdomo will now play Landon, Sorvino will play Carol, and Moyer will play Christian Vance. Jenkins will star as a new character, Robert, a possible love interest for Tessa (Josephine Langford). Despite all of the shakeups, the main stars of the film are sticking around — both Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin are filming the next installments in the franchise.

The official After film Instagram account told fans yesterday that they’d be replacing some actors who had originally signed on to the film due to the coronavirus. “Dear Afternators, It was important to us to finish telling Tessa and Hardin’s story in a timely manner, and given the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to make some difficult choices,” they shared. “At the end of the day, these choices were all in service of protecting the cast and crew and doing our best to deliver you, the Afternators, the best fans in the world, the best possible movies.

“We chose to shoot in Eastern Europe because the COVID numbers are far lower than where we shot movies 1 & 2 and this safeguards our cast,” they explained. “We are also shooting the films back to back, which means some of the original cast were not available to return for various reasons, whether it be scheduling or other commitments.”

They closed out the statement with, “They are wonderful actors and will be missed, however, we think you’re going to be really pleased with the immensely talented group that have chosen to take the roles.”

The next After film, After We Collided, will premiere in the U.S. on Oct. 23. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
