How to Watch Trump and Biden’s Dueling Town Halls Live Tonight

In what continues to be an especially unusual election year, the two presidential candidates are facing off tonight using an unconventional tactic, individual town halls. How did we get here? It all goes back to early October, after President Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. The Commission on Presidential Debates then changed the previously scheduled Oct. 15 presidential debate to a virtual one, keeping the candidates in two different locations.

Trump, however, refused to participate in the virtual presidential debate and it was subsequently canceled…but now the two candidates are hosting their own separate events.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden had already scheduled a town hall after Trump opted out of the debate, but the president soon organized his own event, which just so happens to fall on the same evening. Unfortunately, both of the town halls are also set to begin at the same time, making it difficult to catch both candidates. If you’re planning on switching the channel back-and-forth, or only sticking with one of the nominees, here’s how to catch both of tonight’s town halls:

WHAT TIME ARE DONALD TRUMP AND JOE BIDEN’S TOWN HALLS?

Both of the town halls kick off tonight, Oct. 15, at 8/7c. Biden’s town hall, which takes place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, will last for 90 minutes, with a 30-minute after-show commentary slated for 9:30/8:30c. Trump’s town hall, set to take place outdoors at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, will end after an hour.

You can also catch the Trump town hall on MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News Now and Telemundo’s digital platforms. If you don’t have cable, you can stream the town hall on the the NBC News NOW network. You can watch the NBC town hall on-demand after the NBC broadcast on Peacock.

WHEN IS THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?
