Jeff Bridges Reveals Lymphoma Diagnosis, Says “The Prognosis Is Good”

Beloved actor Jeff Bridges announced on Twitter that he was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a form of cancer that affects the lymph system. He writes, “As the Dude would say, New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma.” He maintains a positive attitude, explaining that he’s starting treatment and the prognosis looks good. You can read his tweets below.

Bridges, who is 70, is perhaps most famous for his iconic role as The Dude in The Big Lebowski, though he has over 90 other acting credits to his name including True Grit, Crazy Heart, Iron Man and The Fabulous Baker Boys. He’s currently in production on the FX series The Old Man, a drama based on the 2017 novel by Thomas Perry, which is slated to premiere on Hulu in 2021 and co-stars John Lithgow, Alia Shawkat, Amy Brenneman and Gbenga Akinnagbe. Bridges is also serving as an executive producer of the series.
