Sacha Baron Cohen may have just taken a dramatic turn in The Trial of the Chicago 7, but he’s returning to his satirical roots with Borat 2 (aka Borat Subsequent Moviefilm). The comedian’s latest film and follow-up to his 2006 mockumentary Borat is headed to Amazon Prime Video this month, just in time for the presidential election.
Amazon teased the movie with a trailer earlier this month, and it looks like Borat is back to his old ways, but this time, he’s bringing his daughter along with him, and of course, he’s returning to Donald Trump’s America. Cohen kept the film a secret, filming scenes both internationally and in the U.S. during the coronavirus shutdown. It wasn’t until he confirmed the Borat 2 October release earlier this fall that he let the world know.

WHEN IS THE BORAT 2 RELEASE DATE?
Borat 2, or Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm, is slated for an Oct. 23 digital release on Prime Video.
HOW TO WATCH BORAT 2:
To watch the Borat sequel, you’ll need an account with Amazon Prime Video. While most digital releases premiere across online platforms, this one is an Amazon exclusive, so you can only stream it there. The good news is, Amazon offers a free Amazon Prime trial, so you can get 30 days free of Prime Video and more. After that, you’ll be charged $12.99 per month (plus any applicable taxes).
WILL BORAT 2 BE FREE ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO?
If you’re already a Prime Video member, you’re in luck! Borat 2 will be free on Prime Video Oct. 23, so you can stream it at no additional cost since it will be included with your Prime Video subscription. But, if you’re not a Prime Video member, you’ll have to sign up for Prime Video to see the film. Once you have an account, you won’t need to pay any extra charge and can stream Borat 2 as many times as you please. Very nice!
