So you just finished After We Collided, you’re reeling from that cliffhanger, and you’re wondering: When does After 3 come out? And for that matter: When does After 4 come out?
Well, fear not, Afternators, because the epic saga of Tessa and Hardin is far from over. Stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin are already filming the third and fourth After movies, which will be based on the third and fourth books in the One-Direction-fanfiction-turned-book-series by author Anna Todd. Here’s what we know so far about After We Fell and After Ever Happy.
Will there be an After 3 and After 4 movie?
Yes! Good news for all the diehard Afternators out there: Two more After movies, After We Fell and After Ever Happy, were greenlit for back-to-back production in September. They will be based on the books of the same name written by Anna Todd in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Castille Landon (Fear of Rain) will direct both films. Huzzah!
When does After We Fell come out? Is there an After We Fell release date?
After We Fell will be released theatrically on September 30, 2021. Filming for both After We Fell and After Ever Happy began earlier this month, which means you could see After Ever Happy as soon as early 2022. (But keep in mind, that’s pure speculation!)
Just recently we learned that Mira Sorvino, Chance Perdomo, Stephen Moyer and Carter Jenkins had been cast in the film, to replace Shane Paul McGhie, Selma Blair, Candice King and Charlie Weber. McGhie, Blair, King, and Weber will not be able to reprise their roles as Landon, Carol, Vance, and Kimberly in the last two films, due to changes in the filming location. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, director Castille Landon moved the filming location to Eastern Europe, where reportedly there were fewer COVID-19 cases than in Atlanta, Georgia, where the first two films shot. Sad news for fans, but good news if you’re hoping to see the movie sooner. And if you follow the official After Instagram, you might catch some behind-the-scenes shots from the set.

When does After Ever Happy come out? Is there an After Ever Happy release date?
Hold your horses, people, there’s not even a release date for the third movie yet! We don’t yet know when After Ever Happy will come out, but the good news is that it’s being filmed at the same time as After We Fell. So once the third movie comes out, you won’t have long to wait for After 4.
