Where To Stream the Original ‘The Craft’ Movie

Blumhouse released The Craft: Legacy on-demand today, as a stand-alone sequel to the 1996 cult classic, The Craft. But while you don’t need to see the first Craft movie to understand the new one written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, it will undoubtedly enhance your viewing experience. More than that, the original The Craft is a great film, and the perfect Halloween watch to get your fix of spooky witches.

Directed by Andrew Fleming (who is not involved in the new film), 1996’s The Craft starred Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True as four outcast teenage girls (Sarah, Nancy, Bonnie, and Rochelle) who practice witchcraft and worship a deity named Manon. At first, things are great. Sarah, a genuine witch, curses their enemies. She magically turns the jerk who was spreading rumors about her into a lovesick fool, curses the mean blonde girl to go bald, and kills Nancy’s abusive stepfather with a heart attack. But pretty soon, these wicked deeds come back to haunt the witches.

The Craft was a surprise hit in the ’90s and has since become a cult classic. No shade to Lister-Jones, but nothing is better than watching the original. Here’s where you can stream The Craft (1996).
