Foo Fighters to Perform on ‘SNL’s Post-Election Show

Saturday Night Live has found its musical guest for this weekend’s show. The Foo Fighters have been announced as the performers on SNL‘s post-election special show, joining previously announced host Dave Chappelle this Saturday evening, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The announcement marks the Foo Fighters’ eighth time as SNL musical guests — they’ve appeared on the show multiple times between 1995 and 2017, including one performance alongside Mick Jagger for his 2012 episode. The band’s frontman, Dave Grohl, has been on the show 13 times in total, with this Saturday marking his 14th appearance.

SNL also dropped a new teaser for this weekend’s episode today, drumming up excitement for Chappelle’s turn as host. The comedian, whose eponymous Comedy Central show just dropped on both HBO Max and Netflix, last hosted SNL in 2016.

Here’s what else you may have missed today:

CBS All Access is saying goodbye to Interrogation, Variety reports. The Peter Sarsgaard drama is coming to an end after only one season, less than a year after it first premiered on the streaming service. The series, which is based on a true story, follows a man who was charged with and convicted of killing his own mother in a brutal murder. “Anders Weidemann, John Mankiewicz and Fabrik Entertainment’s unique approach to exploring an unsolved true-crime in Interrogation allowed the audience to follow their own investigative path of evidence and suspecting characters throughout a 10-episode arc,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president and head of programming at CBS All Access. “They led an amazing team of writers, directors and cast, all of whom delivered a close-ended season that will continue to be available on CBS All Access for new viewers to discover and enjoy.”

Fans of Riverdale star KJ Apa are about to see the actor in another project very soon. Dead Reckoning, Apa’s new film, has set a VOD release date for Friday, Nov. 13, Deadline reports. The film, which takes place in Nantucket, follows Tillie (India Eisley), who strikes up a summertime romance with Niko (Apa) not long after her parents die in a plane crash. Dead Reckoning also stars Scott Adkins, James Remar, Ellie Cornell, Devon Diep and Sydney Park.

We just saw her in Save Yourselves, and we’ll miss her in GLOW, but actress Sunita Mani just scored a new role. According to Deadline, she’s joined the cast of HBO’s upcoming limited series Scenes From A Marriage, an adaptation of the Ingmar Bergman original. The new project comes from executive producers Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac, who will also star in the series. According to the series description, it “re-examines the show’s iconic depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple.”
