Friday the 13th meets Freaky Friday meets Vince Vaughn in the new horror comedy Freaky.

Now playing in theaters and drive-ins, the newest Blumhouse Productions film is a body swap movie in which a young high school student (Kathryn Newton) does the old Freaky Friday with a deranged serial killer (Vince Vaughn). Also starring Katie Finneran, Alan Ruck, Celeste O’Connor, and Misha Osherovich, the film is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, currently boasting an impressive 86% Tomatometer Score.

Freaky’s only currently available to watch in theaters and drive-ins, but it won’t be long before it premieres on VOD. Will Freaky be on Netflix? When can you watch Freaky online? Here’s everything you need to know!

WHEN IS THE FREAKY VOD RELEASE DATE?

Freaky’s theatrical release date is Friday, November 13, but the film’s VOD release date is just a few weeks later! Freaky will be available to purchase on VOD beginning Friday, December 4.

IS FREAKY ON NETFLIX OR HULU?

Nope. Unfortunately, you can only watch Freaky in select theaters/drive-ins.

HOW TO WATCH FREAKY ONLINE:

Beginning on Friday, December 4, Freaky will be available to rent on a variety of streaming platforms for $19.99, including FandangoNOW, iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, YouTube, and more. The film should also be available to stream through a number of cable providers.

WILL FREAKY BE FREE ON AMAZON PRIME?

Nope. Not during its initial VOD release. Unfortunately, you’ll have to rent the film when it premieres on Amazon.

WILL FREAKY BE ON NETFLIX?

No official information has been released concerning Freaky premiering on Netflix. It’s possible that the film could follow the streaming history of Happy Death Day 2U, which was also directed by Christopher Landon and produced by Jason Blum. Happy Death Day 2U premiered in theaters on February 13, 2019 and arrived on HBO in October of 2019. That film is currently streaming on Cinemax.

The good news is that the window between VOD release dates and Netflix premiere dates is shrinking. One example is Karen Maine’s indie dramedy Yes, God, Yes, which premiered in late July of 2020 on VOD and debuted October 22, 2020 on Netflix.
