‘After We Collided’ Sets December Premiere Date on Netflix

Just two months after YA romance After We Collided debuted on demand, the sequel is coming to Netflix. The streaming giant has revealed that Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford’s After We Collided will stream Tuesday, December 22 in the U.S. Let the countdown to Hardin’s bare booty begin!

After We Collided, a sequel to the 2019 film After, had quite the journey from script to screen. The romance was originally scheduled to debut in theaters earlier this year, but the COVID-19 pandemic complicated those plans, and it was ultimately released in select theaters and on demand this fall. After first premiering in select European countries, After We Collided finally arrived on demand in the U.S. on October 23, and it quickly shot to the top of the VOD charts. Now, viewers who weren’t inclined to shell out money for the romance will be able to enjoy it for free on Netflix in less than one month’s time.

Set a few months after the events of the first film, After We Collided continues the story of Tessa (Langford) and Hardin (Tiffin), two college kids who find themselves inexplicably drawn to each other. After (spoiler!) breaking up in After, Tessa and Hardin attempt to move on with their lives, and Tessa even starts a fling with Trevor, a coworker at her internship (played by Dylan Sprouse). However, Tessa and Hardin can’t stay apart for long, and they soon find themselves in a love triangle for the ages.

After We Collided serves as the second film in the four-part After trilogy. Last month, news broke that Langford and Tiffin are already filming the third and fourth movies, which will be based on subsequent books in Anna Todd’s franchise. The studio has yet to set a premiere date for After We Fell and After Ever Happy, but it’s possible that the first of the two films could debut as soon as late 2021.
