'Schitt's Creek'

While Schitt’s Creek mostly lacks the dramatic, soapy element of Virgin River, it does fit the show’s theme of settling into a new place and adjusting to the life and culture there. The PopTV series follows the wealthy Rose family, who, drained of their assets and with nowhere to go, are forced to move to a town called Schitt’s Creek that they jokingly purchased years ago. The hit comedy swept the Emmys this year for good reason, and landed on our list of Best TV Shows of 2020.
