The Croods: A New Age

Our favorite first family is back and taking on a new adventure in The Croods: A New Age. And no, we are not talking about those currently living in the White House, but the Croods, of course! The sequel to the beloved 2013 animated movie picks back up with the prehistoric family — including Grug (Nicolas Cage), Eep (Emma Stone), Guy (Ryan Reynolds), and Ugga (Catherine Keener)— as they continue their search of a safer habitat. But what they soon discover is not just an idyllic haven filled with everything they could possibly need, but also the Bettermans: an entire family that’s a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder. Talk about your first neighbor feud! But the two clans must but the rising tensions aside as a new threat emerges, forcing the evolved Bettermans and the rustic Croods to embrace each other’s differences to make it out alive.

The War With Grandpa

We would love nothing more right now than to have our houses — and personal spaces — invaded by our extended families, but we will just have to settle for The War With Grandpa to remind us of those times. Robert De Niro is back in this family comedy about a turf war between Peter and his Grandpa Jack who moves into the family home, forcing Peter to relinquish his room to his aging relative. The two used to be very close, but it becomes too much for the young boy who will stop at nothing to get his room back— scheming with his friends to devise a series of pranks to flush him out. But Jack is not going out quietly, and soon the two are at war for this most prized territory. Filled to the brim with wacky and unbelievable antics, The War With Grandpa may just remind you why personal space and distance is valuable in the first place!
