HBO Max’s ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot Teases Cast & Show Details

Fans of The CW‘s hit series Gossip Girl were beyond pleased to find out in July 2019 that the show was being rebooted for HBO Max. While it was previously confirmed that Kristen Bell would be returning as the series narrator and that it would be based on today’s social media age, not much has been known about the reboot as far as who and which characters will be in the new installment. That is, until now.

The show’s Instagram page has finally divulged some details on the revival, which fans have been clamoring for ever since the initial announcement. Details include some of the cast and their character names in the show, which is currently in production.

The show’s writer/producer Joshua Safran had previously touted that the cast of the reboot will demonstrate more diversity in the cast than the original series and that there would be some LGBTQ+ relationships.

The cast will include up-and-comers Jordan Alexander as Julien Calloway, Savannah Smith as Monet de Haan, Zión Moreno as Luna La, Thomas Doherty as Max Wolfe, Emily Alyn Lind as Audrey Hope, Tavi Gevinson as Kate Keller, Eli Brown as Otto “Obie” Bergman IV, Evan Mock as Akeno “Aki” Menzies, and Whitney Peak as Zoya Lott.

You can read a one-word character trait in the captions accompanying each of the photos below. Production began in November after a few pandemic-related delays, and the show is planned to debut on HBO Max in the US this year.
