Why Is ‘Chicago Fire’ Not On Hulu?

You might currently be checking Hulu for the new episode of NBC‘s Chicago Fire that was planned to debut on January 6 and wondering why it’s not there. Well, we might have an idea why.

Due to the events that happened at the United States Capitol in DC on January 6, news coverage took priority on stations throughout the day. Supporters of President Donald Trump broke into the Capitol building while Congress was in session to certify and/or dispute the Electoral College results (confirming Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 election) following a rally held by Trump himself. The world watched in awe as chaos ensued.

Chicago Fire, along with Chicago Med and Chicago PD, had been on a long two-month break and fans were excited for the new episodes, however, they didn’t air on January 6 after all. While news coverage was mostly over by primetime, there was still a lot to cover and statements to be made. That took precedence and it turns out that Chicago Fire viewers have to wait one extra week longer.

So no, there’s nothing wrong with your Hulu if you’re not seeing a new episode of Chicago Fire because there hasn’t been one yet. NBC had changed their scheduling at the very last minute. Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 3 won’t air on NBC until January 13 now and will therefore appear on Hulu the next day January 14.
