Is The “Pizzagate” Documentary on Netflix? How to Watch ‘Evil Genius’

Netflix has explored the worlds of elite cheer squads, big cat breeders, death, and health scams in 2020 alone, thanks to its ever-growing lineup of original docuseries. Interestingly enough, subscribers everywhere are clamoring to find the “pizzagate” documentary that premiered in 2018 on the platform. We’d have to guess it’s because of the recent debut of comedy thriller 30 Minutes Or Less which is loosely based on the legendary true crime story on the streaming giant.

Netflix’s original docuseries Evil Genius: The True Story of America’s Most Diabolical Bank Heist is the title you’re looking for as it explores the infamous “pizzagate” case that was baffling even to law enforcement. Evil Genius, which comes from executive producers Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, Josh Braun, Dan Braun and Trey Borzillieri, dives into the diabolical details of the crime, shows footage of the arrest, and helps viewers get a sense of what might have went on the day of the heist.

“It’s hard to stand out in such a crowded genre, but Evil Genius appears to do it effortlessly. By shining light on a case that hasn’t been discussed for some time and making it a personal journey, the series essentially becomes untouchable by its peers.” Decider’s Jade Budowski writes in her Evil Genius review.
