Tom Holland’s ‘Cherry’ Movie Release Date

Cherry, or Cherk if you first heard of the film on Twitter, is Tom Holland‘s latest film that’s got his fans in a frenzy. The drama, which is based on Nico Walker’s semi-autobiographical novel of the same name, stars Holland as an Army medic who struggles with adjusting back into civilian life. Suffering from a case of undiagnosed PTSD, he falls into a drug addiction and takes up bank robbery to pay back his debts.

The film’s official description teases Cherry as “the wild journey of a disenfranchised young man from Ohio who meets the love of his life, only to risk losing her through a series of bad decisions and challenging life circumstances.” Holland’s character is described as an “unhinged” young man whose only anchor in life is “his one true love”, Emily (Ciara Bravo), but when he loses himself to crime and drug addiction, his relationship suffers.
