‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Renewed for Season 2

Get ready to welcome back Jen, Mary and more, because The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is officially returning. The latest installment in the successful Bravo reality franchise has been renewed for Season 2, Vulture reports. The exciting news was confirmed by Bravo host Andy Cohen, who shared the update with his fans last night on an After Show segment from Watch What Happens Live.

Cohen, who was joined by Danny Pellegrino, Sasha Morfaw, Evan Ross Katz, and Samantha Bush, asked his guests what they predict will be “the most entertaining Housewives franchise in 2021.” Pellegrino, who hosts the “Everything Iconic” podcast, replied he’s “really hoping” for more of the Salt Lake City ladies in the new year. “Oh, they’re coming back for a Season 2,” Cohen promised, much to the enthusiasm of his guests and his audience.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which marks the tenth installment in the Real Housewives franchise, first premiered on Bravo last November and will wrap up its first season this February. In her review for RHOSLC, Decider’s Lea Palmieri praised the show for its diverse cast and “confident” start to the season. “Salt Lake City was perhaps not the most obvious choice of town for a Real Housewives franchise, but it doesn’t take the entire supersized first episode to realize that this new series has everything a diehard Housewives fan could want, and much more,” she wrote.

Season 1 of the new reality hit featured housewives Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose and  Jen Shah, who brought the drama this fall with each and every episode. Before confirming Season 2, Cohen teased the upcoming RHOSLC reunion with an Instagram photo earlier this month. “#RHOSLC Reunion Day is here!,” he shared in the caption.

In an Instagram Story recorded the day of the reunion, Cohen took his fans behind the scenes. “It is nine at night. We are still shooting the Salt Lake City reunion,” he said, per The Daily Dish. “Unprecedented for a Season 1, 13-episode run. We’re still going at nine o’clock. Lisa’s in the bathroom. So, I mean, this is like unbelievable. It’s good. There’s a lot happening in this winter wonderland, I will tell you that.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on Bravo.
