What Time Will ‘The Little Things’ Be on HBO Max?

In case you hadn’t heard, Warner Bros is dropping its entire 2021 theatrical slate on HBO Max simultaneously, to allow for 30 days of streaming at the same time the film is in theaters, much like the studio did for Wonder Woman 1984. First up in the new year is The Little Things, the neo-noir crime psychological thriller film written and directed by John Lee Hancock. The Little Thing stars Denzel Washington as a local deputy sheriff, Rami Malek as an LAPD detective, and Jared Leto as the number one suspect in a serial killer case. Considering the fact that all three of those actors have Academy Awards, it’s safe to say that this cast is “stacked,” as the kids say. (Do the kids say that anymore? I’m not sure. I’ve been inside for 10 months.)

You don’t want to miss this one, so here’s everything you need to know about how to watch The Little Things on HBO Max.

WHEN DOES DENZEL WASHINGTON’S THE LITTLE THINGS COME OUT? WHAT IS THE LITTLE THINGS HBO MAX RELEASE DATE?

The Little Things will debut in U.S. theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously on Friday, January 29. The Little Things will stream on HBO Max, free to all subscribers, for one month, or 31 days.

WHAT TIME WILL THE LITTLE THINGS BE ON HBO MAX?

The Little Things will begin streaming on HBO Max on Friday, January 29 at 12 a.m. PT, or 3 a.m. ET. That is 12 hours earlier than Wonder Woman 1984 premiered on the platform, so be ready! If you don’t see The Little Things on HBO Max when the clock strikes midnight on the west coast Thursday night, you could always try refreshing the page, or logging out and logging back in ago.

HOW TO WATCH THE LITTLE THINGS ON HBO MAX:

You can either drive to your local theater to watch The Little Things (wear a mask if you do!) or watch it from the safety of your home with a subscription to HBO Max, the premium streaming option offered by HBO, which launched in May 2020.

HBO Max costs $14.99 a month, and if you’re already an HBO Now subscriber, there’s a good chance you already have access to it. You can use HBO Max on your desktop, as well as via Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Playstation 4, Samsung TV, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S devices. You may also be able to purchase HBO Max through your cable provider.

IS THERE AN HBO MAX FREE TRIAL?

No. Unfortunately, the HBO Max free trial offer recently ended, ahead of the release of Wonder Woman 1984 on the streaming service. Instead, HBO Max is offering a promotional discount for customers willing to pay for a six-month subscription, who will pay $69.99 for six months, a 22 percent discount from the usual $14.99/month fee.

WILL THE LITTLE THINGS BE ON NETFLIX, HULU, OR VOD?

It’s not yet clear whether Warner Bros. will also have a traditional digital and DVD release for the theatrical films releasing on HBO Max. Given that the films will only be available on HBO Max for one month, it seems likely the studio might pursue a VOD release down the line. However, it is very unlikely that The Little Things will ever be on Netflix or Hulu, given that it has an obvious streaming home at HBO Max.
