What Is Palmer About?

Palmer is a movie written by Cheryl Guerriero and directed by Fisher Stevens, which stars Justin Timberlake as Eddie Palmer, a former high school football star who just did a 12-year stint in prison. You’ll find out why he was there and other details around the matter throughout the film. Palmer returns to his small Louisiana town to rebuild his life, moving in with his grandmother played by June Squibb and doing his best to land a job, reconnect with his friends, and shake the stigma that follows him around for the crime he committed. And on top of all that? He’s tasked with looking after a very special child named Sam (played by the lovely Ryder Allen), a boy who loves princesses and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about it, after his drug-addicted mother (played by Juno Temple) just picks up and leaves town. Ultimately, Palmer is a really moving story about identity and acceptance, and again, one that is gonna get you right in the heart and the tear ducts.
