Directed by Sion Sono, the genre-bending movie centers on a criminal who is sent on a rescue mission into a dark supernatural universe, but first, he must break the curse holding the world captive. WHAT IS PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND ABOUT?

Prisoners of the Ghostland tells the story of a notorious criminal named Hero (Cage) who is sent on a mission to rescue the governor’s (Bill Moseley) daughter from a dangerous supernatural universe. In order to escape, Hero must break the evil curse controlling the Ghostland, a task that opens him up to some seriously sinister forces.

Cage’s new film debuted on January 31, 2021 at the Sundance Film Festival, and is being released in movie theaters and video on demand simultaneously on September 17, 2021.

RLJE Films, the distribution company behind Cage’s previous action films Mandy and Color Out of Space, has made the decision to release this movie “day and date,” which means it will be available to watch in a theater near you AND on video-on-demand platforms.
