Did you miss Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer last week, A Discovery of Witches fans? Have no fear, Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) and Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) are coming back to A Discovery of Witches this week. After a brief sojourn to modern times — where Marcus Whitmore (Edward Bluemel) learned a dark secret about the de Clairmont bloodline — A Discovery of Witches Season 2 Episode 5 returns to 1590. The episode opens on Matthew and Diana’s arrival in France, where they are due to meet Matthew’s imposing father Phillipe (James Purefoy). But how long do you have to wait for such an auspicious meeting? Not long, loves!
Based on Deborah Harkness’s All Souls Trilogy, A Discovery of Witches follows the dreamy and dangerous story of Matthew Clairmont and Diana Bishop. He’s a debonair vampire, she’s a scholar/witch, and the two naturally fall into the throes of a steamy, forbidden romance.
A Discovery of Witches Season 2 follows Matthew and Diana after they’ve made the heady decision to use magic to time travel back to 1590. There Diana is tasked with finding a witches’s coven powerful enough to teach her how to harness her unique powers. The lovers are also on the trail of the mysterious manuscript that brought them together in the first place. Complicating this journey are figures from Matthew’s dark past, including a demonic Kit Marlowe (Tom Hughes) and the imposing head of the de Clairmont clan.
So when can you watch A Discovery of Witches Season 2 Episode 5? More importantly, how can you watch A Discovery of Witches in the USA? And will the show eventually hit AMC? Here’s what you need to know to watch the next installment of A Discovery of Witches…
