HBO revisits the unprecedented sports shutdown of March 2020 in the new documentary The Day Sports Stood Still. From director Antoine Fuqua and producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, the feature-length film tells the story of the unprecedented sports shutdown as well as how athletes played a prominent role in the cultural reckoning on racial injustices that escalated during the pandemic.

The documentary follows the first-person account of NBA Players Association president Chris Paul, who also serves as an executive producer on the project, and includes interviews with Donovan Mitchell, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mookie Betts, Mark Cuban, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, and more.
