If you spent your weekend binge-watching Who Killed Sara?, Netflix’s drama about imprisonment and parasailing murder, then we have great news for you. Today, the streaming giant announced that Who Killed Sara? Season 2 is happening, and not only that: Who Killed Sara? Season 2 premieres this May.

Who Killed Sara? tells a story of brotherly revenge and one deeply corrupt family. Eighteen years ago, Sara Guzmán (Ximena Lamadrid) was just a fun-loving teenager who went on a beachside trip with her friends. That seemingly innocuous decision led to Sara’s brutal death, falling hundreds of feet into a lake. Now, almost two decades later, Sara’s brother Alex (Manolo Cardona) has been released from prison after being wrongfully incarcerated for the death of his sister. He’s out to get revenge not only for himself and his family but for his murdered sister.

That’s right: Sara didn’t die in a freak parasailing accident. Her harness was cut, making this a murder, people.

The mystery drama switches between two timelines — what led to that fateful day 18 years ago, and Alex’s modern-day plan for revenge. But the more Alex learns, the more convoluted and dangerous his sister’s death becomes. It turns out that she wasn’t just the victim of her rich jerk boyfriend, Rodolfo (Alejandro Nones). She was at the center of something much bigger. She also wasn’t the sweet, innocent angel Alex always assumed her to be. Can Alex find out the truth while fighting off his feelings for Rodolfo’s sister Elisa (Carolina Miranda)?

Netflix has announced that Season 2 of the series will premiere on Wednesday, May 19. Not only that but Matías Novoa, Daniel Giménez Cacho, and Antonio de la Vega are all set to join the cast. The series stars Manolo Cardona, Carolina Miranda, Ginés García Millán, Claudia Ramírez, Eugenio Siller, and Alejandro Nones. David “Leche” Ruiz, Carlos Bolado, and Poncho Pineda will direct this new season, and José Ignacio Valenzuela will write is. Who Killed Sara?
