‘The View’: Ana Navarro Begrudgingly Praises “Nepotism Barbie” Ivanka Trump for Vaccine Photo

Ana Navarro is no fan of Ivanka Trump, but she couldn’t resist shedding a bit of positive light on the former First Daughter’s latest social media post, which shows Ivanka getting the Covid-19 vaccine. On this morning’s episode of The View, Navarro, who is standing in for co-host Whoopi Goldberg, praised Ivanka for publicly sharing her vaccination, which both former president Donald Trump and Melania Trump chose not to do.

“I can’t believe I’m going to say anything good about her. You all know I’m no fan of nepotism Barbie, but here I go, take a deep breath,” Navarro began. “I commend Ivanka Trump for having used her platform to show herself getting the vaccine and promote vaccination when she says, ‘I hope you get the shot, too.'”

And while Ivanka was the first in her family to share the shot, the backlash was swift and overwhelmingly negative, as Navarro pointed out. “If you see the responses from Trump-supporting Republicans against what used to be their favorite daughter, you can see just how political it has become,” Navarro said. “Shame on people like Donald Trump and Melania Trump and my governor, Ron DeSantis, for getting the vaccine, but doing so behind closed doors and knowing that there’s this hesitancy amongst Republicans that they are making worse and not doing anything about.”

Navarro argued that Republicans are out to get President Biden, no matter the cost. “Because the bottom line is, they Joe Biden to fail,” she said. “And if that means cutting off their nose to spite their face, they will do it.”

Navarro’s comments came after Chelsea Clinton appeared as a guest on The View just yesterday, where she pleaded with Trump to share his vaccine photos. “I still wish that they would release photographs of President Trump and Mrs. Trump being vaccinated because I think it’s the right thing to do, full stop,” Clinton said. She lated added that Trump could be a “poster child” for the vaccines and even “claim credit” for the progress that took place under his administration.
