PSA: The Songs Nominated For Oscars 2021 Are in the Pre-Show

Attention all movie fans who watch the Oscars for the musical performances: you need to tune into ABC right now!

As part of this year’s revamped Academy Awards ceremony (we’re still in a pandemic, y’all!), all of the musical performances are going on literally right now on ABC’s pre-awards show. They kicked things off with “Husavik” from Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, and followed with “”Io sì (Seen)” from The Life Ahead. So if you still want to catch the other three nominees, I reiterate, switch it over to ABC right now. Get out ol’ rabbit ears and put ’em on the roof if you have to! For more information on how to stream ABC live online, you can check out Decider’s guide to watching the Oscars. So, which songs are still going to be performed?

Oscar Nominated Songs 2021

  • “Fight for You” from Judas and the Black Messiah
  • “Hear My Voice” from The Trial of the Chicago 7
  • “Husavik” from Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
  • “Io sì (Seen)” from The Life Ahead
  • “Speak Now” from One Night in Miami…

As for the award itself, don’t worry: it will still be presented during the awards show like usual. But if you like seeing pop stars perform songs you previously heard over the closing credits of Oscar-nominated movies, then you gotta watch the ABC pre-show, airing right now.

The Oscars ceremony will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. For more information on how you can stream tonight’s Academy Awards, you can check out Decider’s guide to streaming the Oscars online.
