‘French Exit’ Is Finally Coming to Streaming, And You Can Watch A Deleted Scene [Exclusive]

French Exit is finally coming out on digital this week, so viewers can finally watch that Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges movie that you saw a trailer for those many months ago.

French Exit is arriving on digital on May 11, and coming to Blu-ray and DVD on June 15, meaning those who weren’t ready to return to movie theaters for the film’s release last month will be able to stream French Exit from the safety of their couch. You’ll also get access to bonus features, like the deleted scene, “Do You Ever Regret,” which you can watch above.

In this exclusive clip, protagonist Frances (Pfeiffer) and her best friend Joan (Susan Coyne) stroll through Paris as they look back on Frances’s decision to have children, and Joan’s decision not to. Frances admits that sometimes she does regret having her only son Malcolm (Lucas Hedges), and that she would change him if she could—but that she loves him “so much that it pains me.”

That’s just a taste of what you’ll get from this surreal comedy, which earned Pfeiffer a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Here’s what you need to know about how to watch French Exit on streaming, and what time French Exit will be on streaming.

Will French Exit be on Netflix?

Actually, maybe! French Exit is a Sony movie, and last month Sony signed a deal with Netflix that will send the 2022 Sony release to Netflix after those films release on PVOD, or premium-video-on-demand.

That said, French Exit is a 2020 film, not a 2022 film. Netflix has said it plans to license some older Sony films, too, but did not specify which ones. As of now, there is no official Netflix release date for French Exit. For now, we will just have to wait and see.
