Summer is almost here — know what that means? Beach trips, perhaps to Outer Banks. Nearly a year has passed since Outer Banks fans received the good news that Netflix had renewed the series for a second season. There’s no official release date for Outer Banks Season 2 yet, but production wrapped just last month in Barbados and Netflix has announced the second season will debut this summer. While you await more episodes of the summery beach drama, there are a handful of other thrilling teen series to binge-watch — read on to catch a wave with some series similar to Outer Banks.
Outer Banks is an action-adventure mystery series following a handful of teens on a quest for hidden treasure on the oceanside island in North Carolina. When John B (Chase Stokes) sets out to find his father, he discovers there’s a lot more attached to the disappearance. Namely, there’s legendary treasure lurking somewhere in the sand. Chased by the wealthier residents of the town, John B and his slew of friends must find his father and save summer.

The kids still face the typical teenage drama, especially having just moved to a new town.
'Grand Army'
Grand Army is a new Netflix teen drama, and it follows the likes of HBO’s hit Euphoria. Five students helm the series, which tracks them as they attempt to stay afloat in the chaotic world of young Brooklyn. At the largest public high school in the borough, they try to break free from the rest, seize their own future, and survive.
'Zac & Mia'
Zac & Mia follows two teens with cancer who meet on the Oncology floor in the hospital. Zac expects the worst when he learns he’ll be getting a new neighbor — fortunately, he’s proven wrong when he meets Mia, the exact opposite of what he was bracing for. The pair strike up an undeniable connection, and Zac tries to do everything he can to bring a smile to Mia’s face. If you loved the romance of Outer Banks, you’ll enjoy Zac & Mia.
'The Society'
