Later tonight, the season finales of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago We Bought a Zoo? premiere on NBC! Wait. Sorry. One of those shows is a phony. Chicago Med’s not a real series.
Oh, hold the phone. It is a real series! And Oliver Platt’s in it! What a world Dick Wolf has created for us. Chicago We Bought a Zoo? was the fictitious show that, let’s be honest, we’d all watch. But let’s get down to business, shall we? Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. will air their season finales tonight on NBC. If they would have made it a two-night event, they could’ve run a promo that stated “Three shows, two nights… ONE Chicago,” but I’m the same joker who came up with Chicago We Bought a Zoo? so what the hell do I know?
Well, I know when to expect Dick Wolf’s popular franchise to return with new episodes. Here’s the 4-1-1 on the Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. return dates.
ARE CHICAGO FIRE, CHICAGO MED, AND CHICAGO PD NEW TONIGHT?
Yes! The season finales of all three shows air tonight from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
HAVE CHICAGO FIRE, CHICAGO MED, AND CHICAGO PD BEEN RENEWED FOR ADDITIONAL SEASONS?
Of course! One Chicago will probably still be around in 3021. Back in February of 2020, NBC renewed Chicago Fire for a ninth, tenth, and eleventh season; Chicago Med for seasons 6-8; and Chicago PD for three additional seasons (8-10).
WHEN WILL CHICAGO FIRE SEASON 10, CHICAGO MED SEASON 7, AND CHICAGO PD SEASON 9 PREMIERE ON NBC?
*** UPDATE (7/16/21): The Chicago franchise returns Wednesday, September 22 with all three season premieres airing from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on NBC. ***
No official announcement has been made regarding the season premieres of One Chicago, but based on recent history we have a pretty good idea of when to expect new episodes.
Seasons 2-7 of Chicago P.D. premiered in September on NBC, while Chicago Fire also had September premiere dates during three of the last four years. Chicago Med also premiered in September in two of the last three seasons. The pandemic severely altered production schedules this season, but as long as we don’t have any unforeseen setbacks, One Chicago should once again premiere in late September on NBC.

HOW TO WATCH ONE CHICAGO ONLINE:
The newest seasons of each series are streaming on Hulu, while every episode of the franchise is available to watch on Peacock. Also, the first five seasons of Chicago Med were recently added to Netflix in the United States.
