Who’s ready for Law & Order season finale Thursday?
The final episodes of both Law & Order: SVU Season 22 and the first season of Law & Order: Organized Crime air tonight (June 3) on NBC. If you need a quick refresher on, let me check my notes, the previous 490+ episodes of SVU, the entire series is available on Peacock and Hulu. Related, tonight’s Law & Order season finales will be available for next-day streaming on both platforms beginning Friday, June 4.
We already know that both shows are about to go on summer break, but when will Law & Order: SVU and Organized Crime return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.
WHAT TIME ARE LAW AND ORDER: SVU AND ORGANIZED CRIME ON TONIGHT?
Tonight’s NBC primetime schedule begins at 8:00 p.m. ET with an all-new episode of Manifest followed by the season finales of Law & Order: SVU (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) and Law & Order: Organized Crime (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET).
HAS LAW AND ORDER: SVU BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 23?
Yes! Not only will Law & Order: SVU be back for Season 23, but the series earned a three-year renewal in 2020, which means that the show was already renewed for Season 24.
HAS LAW AND ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 2?
You know it. In May of 2021, NBC renewed Organized Crime for a second season.
WHEN WILL LAW AND ORDER: SVU AND LAW AND ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME RETURN WITH NEW EPISODES?
*** UPDATE (7/16): The two-hour Season 23 premiere of Law & Order: SVU debuts Thursday, September 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by the second season debut of L&O: Organized Crime at 10:00 p.m. ET. ***
No official return date has been announced, but based on recent history, we have a pretty good idea of when to expect new episodes.
New seasons of Law & Order: SVU have premiered in September in 20 of the last 22 seasons (this season debuted in November of 2020 due to the pandemic). Since NBC is going all in on the franchise with three different L&O shows airing on Thursday nights, we expect the new seasons to premiere in late September of 2021 (either September 23 or September 30) on NBC.
