It’s the final leg of the Triple Crown as NBC hosts the 153rd running of the Belmont Stakes!

There won’t be a Triple Crown winner this year — Rombauer won the Preakness and Medina Spirit was victorious at the Kentucky Derby, but a positive drug test may nullify the win — but a host of thoroughbreds are looking to conquer the “test of the champion.” Rombauer (John R. Velazquez) and Essential Quality (Luis Saez) lead the field, but Bob Baffert’s Medina Spirit will not be racing. The Hall of Fame trainer has been suspended by the NYRA pending an investigation into the horse’s failed post-Kentucky Derby drug test.

NBC’s Belmont Stakes coverage airs Saturday, June 5 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. ET. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:49 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app will also air coverage of the event from 3:00-5:00 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports will also air coverage (live racing, insider previews, and expert betting tips) from Belmont Park on Friday, June 4 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. ET.
