Jimmy Kimmel Tears Into Caitlyn Jenner’s Campaign: “Are We Sure That Isn’t Donald Trump in a Wig?”

After E! Network’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians reached its finale last night, Jimmy Kimmel gladly welcomed the end of the 20-season-long reality series.  On last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host slammed the Kardashian family, particularly tearing into Caitlyn Jenner‘s run for California governor.

The show’s final episode aired earlier in the night after 14 years on the network that inspired 10 spinoffs. On top of that, the Kardashian family already have a new series in the works over at Hulu. But last night, Kimmel was ready to celebrate their “rear end of an era” at E! Network.

“They said Seinfeld was a show about nothing, but the Kardashians really showed them,” Kimmel blasted the family. “I think all of season eight was Khloe buying a bikini top.”

With that, Kimmel added that thanks to their contributions to American culture, “the Smithsonian is going to put all their original lips on display.” Kimmel got tearful as he bid farewell to the Kardashian gang, rattling off their names and including a few fake ones like “Kaley Cuoco.”

“When the Kardashians got started, I was skeptical. I think we all were. I don’t think we thought this would stand the test of time — but it has. This family has given us 270 episodes over the last 900 seasons.”

Yesterday, Caitlyn Jenner also made an appearance on The View, where she discussed her California gubernatorial campaign and said she “wants to do the same thing” as former President Donald Trump. Kimmel pulled Jenner’s statement apart, railing her entire campaign.

“Are we sure that isn’t Donald Trump in a Caitlyn Jenner wig? Because, I mean, look at this,” Kimmel said, sharing a side-by-side image of Jenner and Trump. “The resemblance is uncanny. They’ve got all the same kind of moves.”

Jenner’s campaign has included a plight to “cancel cancel culture” and has faced backlash for reportedly employing Trump loyalists, including former Trump campaign advisor Brad Parscale and other team members who were in attendance at the Jan. 6 insurrection on the capitol. When The View co-host questioned Jenner about who she thought won the 2020 election, Jenner refused to answer.

“I’m not going to get into that. That election is over with. I think Donald Trump did do some good things. What I liked about Donald Trump is he was a disruptor,” Jenner said. “I want to do the same thing. I want to go in and be a thoughtful disruptor in Sacramento. We need to change the system, and I’m going to change the system for the positive. I’m in it for the people.”

Kimmel continued to bash Jenner’s interview on The View, saying the reality star knows nothing about the political field she’s entering.

“The interview was a lot of nonsense. She’s just trying to get attention,” Kimmel concluded his segment. “Caitlyn Jenner has a better chance of being the next Batman than she does governor of California. She knows little to nothing about anything, really.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC. Watch Kimmel’s monologue from last night in the video above.
