Former Southern Charm star Ashley Jacobs revealed she is currently pregnant and married, telling People that she is expecting her first child, a boy, with Mike Appel. The couple shared news of their engagement earlier this year on a snowy vacation, but went ahead and tied the knot recently in a small and private ceremony to make it official.
“It’s wild how the universe works – our first child together is due the same day we met, two years ago!” the couple told People, sharing that they are expecting their son in August. They turned their honeymoon to the Ko’a Kea Hotel & Resort in Kauai, Hawaii into a babymoon to celebrate the news. “We are over the moon to be on this adventure together, as newlyweds,” Jacobs, a nurse, of her new partner who is the owner of Related Garments clothing apparel and the creative agency Nnovate.
The couple met at a summer rooftop party in 2019 in Santa Barbara, California, where she is from, though most people associate her with the Southern town of Charleston, SC where she is best known for causing trouble during Season 5 and 6 of the Bravo series. Jacobs famously dated Thomas Ravenel and clashed with his friend group, especially Ravenel’s ex, Kathryn Dennis, with whom he shares two young children.
We wish them the best, though it is unlikely she’ll be hearing from many of the Southern Charm cast members to say the same. While Jacobs will not be returning to the show, the Bravo series is expected to resume filming this fall.
