Kelley, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett, the series stars the always charming John Stamos as Marvyn Korn, a legendary NCAA men’s college basketball coach forced to take a job coaching women’s high school basketball at an elite private school after a high-profile chair throwing incident.
The season finale aired Friday, June 18 on Disney+, which has many fans wondering about a potential Season 2 of Big Shot. WILL THERE BE A BIG SHOT SEASON 2 ON DISNEY PLUS?
No official information has been released regarding a second season of Big Shot, but there are a lot of factors that point to the series receiving a renewal. First, the show earned Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes, currently boasting a 77% Tomatometer Score and 80% Audience Score. Second, during a recent interview with Collider, John Stamos not only divulged that he has a “good feeling” about a potential second season, but he also revealed that former Disney CEO Bob Iger is a fan of the show.
“Disney+ has been so supportive,” Stamos said. “Bob Iger has been great. He loves the show. I have a good feeling about coming back, but it’s premature.”
Finally, there’s been some online speculation that the series has already been renewed for a second season. While we can’t confirm the story, it bodes well for the show’s future. It’s not a layup, but we expect Disney+ to renew the series for a second season. We’ll update this story with any new information.
WHEN WILL BIG SHOT SEASON 2 BE ON DISNEY PLUS?
If Disney+ decides to order a second season, our best guess is that Big Shot Season 2 would premiere in the spring of 2022, but again, that’s just speculation. It depends if/when the streamer officially greenlights the show for Season 2.
