Conan O’Brien Shares a Joint With Seth Rogen On His Final Week of ‘Conan’

Conan O’Brien is ending his late night show on a high. The host welcomed guest Seth Rogen onto Conan last night, where he partook in the actor’s favorite pastime, sharing a joint onstage with him and Andy Richter.

“You seem like a guy who’s relaxed, centered, like you know who you are,” O’Brien told his guest, innocently asking how Rogen would fill the free time he’s about to have when Conan ends this week. “I’m going to have a lot of free time on my hands now for a while. We’re going to start something else up, but I’m going to have some downtime, and honestly — I’m not even kidding — I don’t really know what to do with downtime,” O’Brien explained.

“Yes, I get that sense from you,” Rogen replied with a laugh, offering him some advice on how to spend all those unfamiliar free hours. “I would suggest— this is going to be hilariously on brand — try smoking a lot of weed for a long time.” While O’Brien said he has no problem with the “fine herb,” he professed that “nothing really happened” the few times he’s smoked. Still, he was willing to try out a specific strain from the weed expert himself (Rogen has his own marijuana company that launched earlier this year called Houseplant).

“What would you want me smoking?” O’Brien asked, as Rogen pulled a joint out of his shirt pocket and held it out for the late night host to take. “I swear to God, this is how lame I am: For a second I thought, ‘He brought a birthday candle?'” O’Brien told the audience. After heeding Rogen’s instructions to take just one hit, O’Brien joked, “This is the kind of thing you do when you know it’s over for you,” lighting the joint and adding, “Oh, what are they gonna do to me?”

After O’Brien took a hit, Rogen exclaimed, “I’m so happy with what just happened. I wasn’t expecting any of this.” Richter, who joked he’d applied for a job at Target with Conan ending, was less enthused. “I’m f*cked,” he joked.

The final episode of Conan airs tomorrow at 11/10c on TBS. Watch O’Brien light up with Rogen in the video above.
