‘Desus & Mero’ Have Some Suggestions for Meghan McCain’s Post-‘View’ Career

Desus Nice and The Kid Mero are giving their own take on the “very sad goss” of Meghan McCain‘s exit from The View. The talk show host, who revealed her resignation in a lengthy on-air speech yesterday, will be stepping away from her role after four seasons. Thankfully, the Desus & Mero hosts have a few suggestions for what she can do with her newfound free time, The Daily Beast reports.

On last night’s episode of their Showtime series, the duo laid out plenty of ideas for McCain, who will be spending more time in the D.C. area with her family when she leaves The View at the end of the month. “She should get a cop show,” Desus said. “Or a court show in the middle of the day, that could work.”

During her time on The View, McCain has become notorious for her hairstyles, which have been perpetually dragged on Twitter. Joking about her infamous style, Desus joked, “Or, and this is controversial, she should host a show where she judges Black hairstyles. BET, I know you’re thinking about it!”

Brainstorming possible titles for the show, he suggested names like “Meghan McCain is Unbe-weave-able” or “Hair-ish” as a new project from Kenya Barris, the producer behind shows like Black-ish and Mixed-ish. “Has she come out with Bantu knots yet?” Desus asked. “For her last episode she has to. She’s really going to rock the boat and be like, ‘And what?!'”

Mero replied, “Whoopi’s gonna be like, ‘Girl…'” But Desus pointed out that if anyone attempts to cancel the conservative co-host, she’ll pull the defense, “You know why you can’t cancel me? Because my father was John McCain!”

Desus & Mero airs Sundays and Thursdays at 11/10c on Showtime. Watch the full clip from last night’s episode in the video above. To skip to the section on McCain’s exit from The View, fast-forward to the 8:00 minute mark.
