Four words, 16 letters: Gossip Girl is back. The HBO Max reboot dropped today, introducing a whole new slew of wealthy Constance Billard icons, outcasts, and gossips. Although the main cast of characters — like Blair, Chuck, Dan, Serena, and Nate — aren’t returning this time around, there is one familiar character everyone should recognize. That’s Gossip Girl herself, of course. You know you love her! Since you can’t really see Gossip Girl, you may have a tough time making out that voice. Is it the same as the original CW series? Or is it someone new? We have answers.

The new Gossip Girl follows Zoya (Whitney Peak), a student who crash lands into Constance Billard and makes herself (somewhat) at home in the popular crew. The school is practically run by Julien Calloway (Jordan Alexander), the Queen B with a team of devilishly charming friends. She’s so in control of the prep school, in fact, that the teachers try to get back at her and her posse with new techniques of manipulation. And Gossip Girl is back too — there’s quite a bit going on near the steps of the Met these days.
