Last year this sci-fi comedy’s midpoint was a huge deal. That’s because Adult Swim divided the season into two chunks of five episodes each. But this time around we’re following a more traditional release schedule and playing through. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Rick and Morty Season 5, Episode 5.

Need to catch up on the first four episodes of this season? Then you need Adult Swim. This is when having a cable subscription makes life easier. If you have cable you can watch new episodes of Rick and Morty live, no problem. You can even enter your cable username and password into Adult Swim’s website and watch episodes from this new season from anywhere.
What if you’re cable free? There’s always the world of live TV skinny bundles. Almost all of them come with Adult Swim, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV. Also, because these bundles contain episodes of currently running shows, you can use these streaming services to catch up.
None of these options apply to you? Unfortunately, you’re at the mercy of Adult Swim’s website. Want to watch new episodes live? Rick and Morty airs on Sundays at 11/10c p.m. and will be immediately followed by a new episode of Tuca & Bertie at 11:30/10:30c p.m. That means your TV Sundays should be reserved for Adult Swim.
How Many Episodes Are in Rick and Morty Season 5?
There will be 10 episodes in this new season. That’s pretty typical for Rick and Morty. Season 1 was the only season to date to have 11 episodes. Here’s the schedule we know so far:

Will There Be a Season 8 of 'Rick and Morty'?
When Will Rick and Morty Season 5 Be on Hulu?
Here’s the good and bad news. Yes, Rick and Morty Season 5 is expected to go to Hulu eventually. But it’s going to take many, many months. At the moment Season 5 is only available to watch through Hulu + Live TV. Before it goes to Hulu’s basic plans, we’ll have to wait for this season to end and wait through its multi-month VOD blackout period. Only after all of those things have happened will Rick and Morty be eligible to go to streaming.
When Will Rick and Morty Season 5 Be on HBO Max?
HBO Max is following the same rules as Hulu’s basic plans. Though the first four seasons of Rick and Morty are currently available on HBO Max, Season 5 won’t appear until months later. So it’s coming. It’s just going to take a while.
