‘RHONY’ Newbie Bershan Shaw Calls Sonja Morgan a “F***ing Clown” in Explosive Fight

First (and second) impressions are everything — and Real Housewives of New York newbie Bershan Shaw is definitely taking a unique approach to her introduction on the Bravo show. On last night’s (July 13) episode of RHONY, per People, Shaw embroiled herself in a heated argument with nearly every cast member after she decided to tell the ladies that they were acting like old maids. That’s one way to make friends!

“I gotta tell you, this group is a little bit boring,” Shaw began while the group was at dinner amidst a trip to Salem, Massachusetts. “I just feel like you guys are being grandmas.”

The cast didn’t take well to this comment — who would? — and jumped in to defend one another. Before the argument began, Luann de Lesseps spoke her piece in a confessional.

“The audacity that she has to come in and call us, basically, old ladies,” said de Lesseps. “Who is she to call us anything? She doesn’t even know us.”

Hopping back to the drama at the table, Sonja Morgan argued against Shaw, asking the new star how she expected the RHONY crew to get to know her when all she did was insult them.

“So far you have insulted both of us, and now you want to come in here and talk about getting to know you,” Morgan said. When Shaw interrupted to try and get the attention of the rest of the table, Morgan immediately shot back: “You can talk to me, they don’t have to be a part of it.”

Shaw mimicked Morgan, and then fired away with her insults. “You can’t ever be normal,” Shaw said. “You always want to be a f***ing clown.”

The group certainly didn’t take well to the clown comment, hopping in to defend Morgan from Shaw. Leah McSweeney accused Shaw of not knowing Morgan “well enough to say that,” and de Lesseps also chimed in.

“How dare you talk to her like that and how dare you talk to any one of us like that,” de Lesseps said. “Who the f*** do you think you are?”

Once the group ordered dinner, the tension settled down for a bit. But that didn’t last long — when does it ever? Shaw picked a fight with McSweeney next, telling her that someone at the table regularly “disses” and “jabs” at her.

“Bershan, now you’re starting trouble,” McSweeney said when Shaw wouldn’t say who she was accusing of gossip. Annoyed and tired of the conversation, McSweeney stormed away from the other ladies, with de Lesseps and Eboni K. Williams at her side.

Ramona Singer, who invited Shaw on the trip in the first place, stepped in next after the three ladies had left, informing her friend that she had really screwed things up: “You messed up big time,” Singer said. “I brought you into this group and you f***ed it all up.”

Shaw eventually confessed that it was Singer who told her she didn’t always “connect” with McSweeney. Although Singer and McSweeney were able to put their differences behind them, Shaw and Morgan bickered one more time before the tense dinner reached a close.

“I don’t like being called a clown,” Morgan said, returning to the earlier comment. This didn’t help matters with Shaw at all.

“Where are your brains, bitch?” said Bershan. “Be the clown, go.”
