Season 2 of the Amazon Prime reality show Making the Cut is back and ready to crown the next fashion superstar. Though things have changed substantially since its initial globetrotting season, which saw hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn journeying around the world to far-flung destinations like Paris, Tokyo and New York, Season 2 is taking COVID seriously and staying put in its luxe locale of Malibu, CA.
According to Decider’s Brett White, who caught up with Klum and Gunn before Season 2’s premiere, lots of changes, both big and small, were made—including daily mask wearing and beefing up the daily schedule. “We filmed sometimes till two, three o’clock in the morning, because we wanted to get this done,” explained Klum. “We did [Season 2] at the peak of COVID-19. We just all got hit with this from all angles. And we were like, well, if we’re allowed to go [film], we’re going. We’re trying as hard as we can to not let our amazing fans down.”
