AMC’s genre-blending new series Kevin Can F**k himself is one of best TV shows of 2021. Premiering in June, the dark comedy from the mind of Valerie Armstrong follows the secret life of a sitcom wife (portrayed by the always sensational Annie Murphy) as it deftly blends the emotional elements of a single-cam prestige drama with the over-the-top silliness of a traditional multi-camera sitcom.

The season finale airs Sunday, August 1 on AMC, but AMC+ subscribers can watch the episode early on AMC’s streaming service (which offers a free trial). If you have a valid cable login, the first seven episodes of the season are also available to stream on the AMC website. But what about a second season of this critically-acclaimed series? Will there be a Season 2 of Kevin Can F**k Himself? Great question. Here’s everything we know so far.

The first season of Kevin Can F**k Himself consists of eight episodes. The season finale will air Sunday, August 1, 2021 on AMC and is currently available to stream on AMC+.

WILL THERE BE A SEASON 2 OF KEVIN CAN F HIMSELF?

As we previously mentioned, there’s no official information regarding a second season of Kevin Can F**k Himself, but we strongly believe there’ll be a Season 2. While the show is far from a ratings juggernaut, the series has garnered critical acclaim (it currently boasts a “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes) and appears to be a tentpole show for AMC’s nascent streaming service AMC+. Plus, the season finale perfectly sets up a number of intriguing storylines for Season 2.

There are a few other factors that bode well for a second season. Despite the season finale only recently debuting on AMC+ (it premieres August 1 on AMC), there’s already strong search interest on Google Trends about a potential second season, which is a very good indicator of audience support. Again, this is pure speculation, but it seems reasonable to assume that AMC would want to keep a buzzy, critically-acclaimed series that stars a beloved Emmy-winner around for another season.

It’s not exactly a slam dunk, but we’d be shocked if AMC cancels the series after just one season. We’ll update this story as new information becomes available.
