July may be coming to a close, but the weather and new streaming content both continue to bring the heat week after week! To round out another month of hot content, we’re finishing strong with a Woman Crush Wednesday to celebrate one of the many wonderful women who continue to kill it in all of our favorite movies and shows. We’re closing out July with an amazing actress and singer who has been blessing our eyes and ears with her immense skill and general awesomeness for a little over two decades now. She’s an absolute gem so be sure to give it up for her, your WCW, the magnificent Christina Milian!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Christina Milian
WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Milian stars as Erica in Netflix Original romantic-comedy film Resort to Love, which premieres on the platform this Thursday, July 29th. In the wake of a career meltdown, aspiring pop star Erica (Milian) lands a gig at her ex-fiance’s (Jay Pharoah) wedding at a luxurious island resort. She soon rediscovers her feelings for him as she tries to keep their past relationship a secret from his bride-to-be.
The Alicia Keys-produced movie features the talents of Milian, Pharoah, Karen Obilom, Sinqua Walls, and Alexander Hodge, and is a major must-watch for anyone looking to see some juicy drama and delightful comedy before the summer ends. Do yourselves a favor by kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying Milian and the rest of the cast’s great work in Resort to Love as soon as it drops, only on Netflix.
WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Milian’s professional onscreen career began in 1996, when she appeared in an episode of The WB sitcom Sister, Sister.
