Where Was ‘Resort to Love’ Filmed?

Christina Milian is having the time of her life, swanning around a five-star resort and falling head-over-heels in love in the new Netflix flick, Resort to Love.

As aspiring pop star Erica, Milian is stuck trying to find new ways to mend a broken heart after being insensitively dumped by her fiancée. Unfortunately, she simultaneously takes a dive in her tenuous music career, forcing her to take a gig singing her heart out at a luxury resort.

And though the actress/real life pop star is funny, sweet and gorgeous as she lovably takes her heartbreak out on the guests, she uses her time in paradise to find inner peace and get busy with one heck of a hunky guy.

SO WHERE WAS RESORT TO LOVE FILMED?

Want to know how you, too, can find peace, love and tranquility at this luxurious beach destination? Sadly, the first three are out of our hands, but we can definitely tell you exactly where Resort to Love takes place.

The good news is, you can stay at the exact resort where most of the movie’s action was filmed, the Constance Prince Maurice. The bad news? For many of us, it’s halfway around the world. The production started filming in late 2020 on the Republic of Mauritius, an East African island in the Indian Ocean, located off the coast of Madagascar. The opening scene gave us a look at Mauritius’s capital Port Louis, which stood in for New York City, and for many beach and mountain shots, the crew visited the peninsula Le Morne Brabant, which resides at the southwestern tip of the island.

According to Arvind Bundhun of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, “We are very proud to have a thriving movie industry, which is one of the best cost-efficient promotional tools. We are looking forward to welcoming people visitors back to Mauritius in a safe and secure environment, and the film industry will certainly showcase Mauritius’ natural beauty to the outside world, as well as citizens and residents of the island.”

Yes, Mauritius is now open for visitors. And the six-star Constance Prince Maurice resort is set on one of the island’s finest powder-soft white sand beaches overlooking turquoise waters. The resort offers two 18 hole Championship golf courses amid tropical gardens and greenery. Guests can also hang out at one of the most gorgeous infinity pools ever created or join one of the many water activities in the clear lagoon. And yeah, yeah, there’s a spa as well as on-site gourmet restaurants and many, many bars.

So, why not sit back and let this stunning island locale take you away, all while you enjoy the love triangle drama and personal redemption of Resort to Love, now streaming on Netflix.
