This week, the weather is hot but the movies and shows streaming on your favorite platforms are even hotter, and it’s largely thanks to the wonderful women putting in the work both in front of and behind the camera. This Woman Crush Wednesday seeks to highlight one of those incredible ladies by celebrating an awesome up-and-coming actress who should be on your radar ASAP. You’re going to be seeing a lot more of her in the years to come, so make sure to remember her name. Without further ado, give it up for this week’s WCW, the hardworking and talented Hannah Levien!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Hannah Levien
WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Levien plays the recurring character Christine in upcoming Netflix Original horror drama  Brand New Cherry Flavor, which premieres on the platform this Friday, August 13th. The eight-episode limited series revolves around Lisa Nova (Rosa Salazar), who comes to Los Angeles determined to direct her first movie. But when she trusts the wrong person and gets stabbed in the back, everything goes wrong, and a dream project turns into an absolute nightmare that includes zombies, hit men, supernatural kittens, and a mysterious tattoo artist who likes to put curses on people (you know, all your classic nightmare fare). Lisa’s going to have to figure out some secrets from her own past in order to get out alive, and we honestly can’t wait to see it all go down.
In addition to Levien and Salazar, Brand New Cherry Flavor stars Catherine Keener, Jeff Ward, Eric Lange, and Manny Jacinto. The show is already receiving plenty of positive buzz and ink from publications like The A.V. ClubIGNIndieWire, and us here at Decider, so make sure to see what all of the hype is about by checking out Levien and the rest of the amazing cast and crew’s work in Brand New Cherry Flavor as soon as it hits Netflix this week.
