Where to Watch ‘The Ms. Pat Show’

Stand-up comedian Patricia Williams (aka Ms. Pat) is making the jump to sitcom life with her new show The Ms. Pat Show. Based on Pat’s real-life experiences as a mom, former convicted felon, and comedian, the BET+ original series follows her character as she navigates her recent move from Atlanta to suburban Indiana.

The cast includes J. Bernard Calloway as Pat’s husband, Terry; Tami Roman as her sister, Denise; Vince Swann as her adult son, Brandon; Briyana Guadalupe as her teenage daughter, Janelle; and Theodore Barnes as her teenage son, Junebug.

There are some other big names behind the project, too: Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels and Pose’s Jordan E. Cooper serve as executive producers.

“If you have BET+, then this is why you subscribed,” Decider’s Sean L. McCarthy wrote in his review of the series. “You waited for someone to finally show Roseanne from an uncensored Black perspective, and here it is.”
