Who Won ‘America’s Got Talent’ 2021? Finale Recap

We’ve got good news and bad news for all America’s Got Talent fans. The good news? We finally have our Season 16 winner. The bad news? AGT is gone for the season, meaning we’ll have to wait another year to meet new competitors. Regardless, we’ve got the drama, winners, losers, and more from last night’s (Sept. 15) episode ready to share. A major spoiler alert for all folks who haven’t seen the AGT finale yet!

The whole summer has been leading up to this moment — we finally know who beat out flaming birds, creepy marionette dancers, and a whole slew of competitors to win this year’s season. Hopefully this was who you predicted and you walked away with some nice winnings from your AGT betting pool.

The two-hour season finale featured over a dozen mash-ups and duets between the top 10 contestants, special celebrity guests like Cinderella star Idina Menzel and George Lopez, and Olympic gymnasts Jordan Chiles and MyKayla Skinner.

Last night, magician Dustin Tavella was announced as the Season 16 victor of America’s Got Talent. You can check out his work on his website, as well as the show’s YouTube page.

Tavella became a fan-favorite over the course of the season, particularly through sharing sweet stories about his wife, and how he used magic to bond with adopted sons Xander and Sylas.

The Top 10 finalists also included the Northwell Nurse Choir, stand-up comedian Gina Brillon, singer Jimmie Herrod, the World Taekwondo Demonstration Team, and opera singer Victory Brinker.

Will there be a Season 17 of America’s Got Talent? When will America’s Got Talent return to NBC?

At the moment, America’s Got Talent has not been canceled or renewed for Season 17. We’d expect the show to continue, though, as it’s one of NBC’s most popular summer reality series. AGT fans should expect to see the series back on air sometime in spring of 2022.
