‘Shang-Chi’ Arriving on Disney+ This November, Plus Disney+ Day Details

Celebrate magical times with Disney this November, thanks to Disney+ Day! The streamer is bringing a global event to our screens this fall, treating us to new entertainment from iconic brands like Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. Along with new content, Disney+ will also offer a sneak peek at what’s to come from the streamer. Get ready for new movies, shows, shorts, and other fun new additions this Nov. 12 with hits like Jungle Cruise and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings debuting soon.

The upcoming Disney+ day will celebrate the second anniversary of the launch of the streamer, and will include access to promotions and experiences across the entire Walt Disney Co. There will be fun in-park experiences, special merch offers on Disney’s website, and most importantly, debuts of popular shows and movies to the platform.

“The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company,” said Bob Chapek, CEO of The Walt Disney Company. “This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses.”

Perhaps the biggest debut will be the streaming premiere of Marvel Studios’ hit Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. The MCU film was the first to have an exclusive in-theater debut since the beginning of the pandemic, and will finally be available to stream on Disney+ this Nov. 12. The movie will be available to all Disney+ subscribers at no additional cost.

And that’s not the only big movie headed to the streamer! Jungle Cruise debuted to Disney+ Premier Access earlier this year, meaning that subscribers had to pay an extra $29.99 fee to stream the movie. Starting on Nov. 12, the family-friendly adventure film will also be available to all subscribers at no additional cost.

Further, a new Disney+ Original movie will land on the streamer on the same day. That’s three new movies, for all of you folks keeping count! Home Sweet Home Alone will reimagine the popular holiday franchise Home Alone. Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, and more stars have been tapped to lead the holiday film debuting on the same day.

Disney+ day will also include the release of a handful of new shorts like Olaf Presents, Frozen FeverFeastPapermanGet A Horse!, and Cioa Alberto, which is based on the recent Pixar film Luca. A new short from The Simpsons will also debut. From National Geographic, the first five episodes from Season 2 of The World According to Jeff Goldblum will also debut.

Subscribers to the service will also get to watch an inaugural Disney+ Day celebration, which will include breaking news, first looks, new trailers, exclusive clips, and appearances from Disney+ icons. All subscribers can celebrate Disney+ Day on Nov. 12 on the streamer.
