‘The View’ Audiences Disturbed by Caitlyn Jenner Co-Hosting: “Turned the Channel Real Quick”

Right when it seems like things are calming down over at The View, tensions are heating up all over again. After an on-air COVID scare right before Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit, the talk show is bringing more drama to the table with a controversial guest co-host this week: Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner, who is subbing for Meghan McCain as a conservative voice on the panel, sat down to discuss hot topics with the ladies on today’s episode.

Jenner’s visit comes as part of a long line of Conservative guest co-hosts visiting the panel to fill in for McCain. So far, right-wing women like Mia Love, Mary Katharine Ham, and Carly Fiorina have visited the table to debate topics like the Texas abortion law, vaccine hesitancy, and more. After Jenner’s visit, the table is set to host folks like Alyssa Farah, Condoleezza Rice, Eboni K. Williams, and more.

The View fans were not too pleased with Jenner’s visit. It didn’t take long for audiences to air their grievances about the former Keeping Up With the Kardashian star’s opinions and talking points. “I turned to #TheView and saw Caitlyn Jenner and turned the channel real quick,” one Twitter user said. “Nope. I’m good.”

But others actually liked Jenner on the panel. For one, all of the hosts could finally agree on “teaming up to take her down.” For another, her “ridiculous arguments” were actually a source of entertainment.

If there’s one thing The View audiences have to celebrate, however, it’s moderator Whoopi Goldberg‘s return to the panel. After being absent for a week due to health issues, Goldberg finally came back — just in time to roast Jenner. “When My Fairy GodMother Whoopi is here.. it’s usually a better show,” one user celebrated.

Jenner was set as a guest co-host for yesterday’s (Sept. 27) episode along with today’s; however, due to the COVID blunder, Ana Navarro subbed in as host instead.
